As mentioned in my previous post, these are a couple of items I made for my baby. I love the shells sweater. I think I will make another one with a cloche style hat to match.

- I am in my early 50’s. They say 50 is the new 30, ha! Sometimes 50 feels like 60. I live in northern NJ. Married for 27+ years to a real sweatheart. Have 2 adult children that I can’t complain about but usually do. I have a beautiful grand daughter that has brought new meaning to my life. Stopped working to watch her and she is now 4. I have recently been blessed with grand son. I do not consider myself retired because at some time I may decide to go back to work (outside the house). Staying home is very hard work and was a very big adjustment. I am starting to get used to it. I use my crafts as my escape. I crochet and know how to knit but have not knit anything in over a year. Lately I have started to play with paper and have done a few scrapbook pages and hope to make some cards soon. I used to sew when I was a teenager and would like to try it again. My biggest problem, like everyone else, is not enough time.

I love your baby sweaters. Do you have a pattern for the green one you can share?
Thank you. I don't have a pattern, but it is very easy. It is basically made of rectangles in a rib or shell pattern. One for the back, 2 for the sleeves and 2 for the front. I use an old baby sweater for measurements. Once I stitch them together, I do 2 rows of sc for the trim. Then you can either add buttons or a tie to the front. It works up quickly and can be adapted to either knit or crochet. I hope this help. I would love to see the finished product.
